Production Designer will create the aesthetic and design elements for a production that will delight and inspire pediatric patients for “A Dose of Fun” a new education initiative to be performed at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The goal is to bring joyful, imaginative theatre directly to children (ages 5–13) who are receiving care. For many of these kids, long hospital stays can feel isolating or overwhelming — so the program reimagines those clinical spaces as places for play, storytelling, and connection.

About the Role
We’re looking for a designer who can help shape the world of the piece — costumes, props, and scenic elements — with an emphasis on creativity, portability, and craft. Since the performances will take place inside hospital spaces, the design needs to be flexible and easy to move — but also colorful, crafty, and full of imagination. The show will evolve across three phases:

Phase 1 – Company Building: October 2025

Phase 2 – Show Development: December 2025

Phase 3 – Final Prep & Rehearsals: April 2026

Hospital Performances: May–June 2026

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-driven, collaborative, budget-savvy, and adaptable to shifting production needs. Local hires only.
