We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Part-Time Box Office Assistant to support our audience services team. In this frontline role, you’ll help create a welcoming theatre experience by assisting with show check-in, handling pre-show set up duties before each performance, and ensuring smooth box office operations. This position plays a key part in connecting with our audience and subscribers—whether checking in and greeting patrons at performances, participating in call campaigns, or covering scheduled box office phone shifts. Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for live theatre.
Typical Show Week Schedule: During show weeks, the Box Office Assistant will handle Box Office show prep, will-call/checking in patrons, and stay after performances to sell subscriptions & assist patrons. May include holidays. Potential shifts, totaling 15-22 hours a week, include Mon/Tues as needed, Wed 12pm-8:00pm, Thurs 5pm-10pm, Fri 5pm-10pm, Sat 5pm-10pm OR Sun 11am-4pm
Please note: These hours may shift slightly, depending on the performance schedule. Box Office Manager will set schedules two weeks prior.
Non-Show Week Schedule: The Box Office Assistant will cover Box Office phone shifts, participate in outgoing call campaigns, or assist in other Box Office or company projects. Typically 15 hours per week with 12pm-5pm shifts, additional hours may vary depending on company projects and campaigns.

GableStage is seeking Theatrical Electricians for our upcoming season. Theatrical Electricians will work directly with our Master Electrician and assist them with achieving seamless and impactful lighting effects for productions. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of lighting equipment including conventional and automated lighting fixtures, control consoles, dimmers, DMX and related accessories. Must be comfortable with heights, able to lift 50 lbs., and follow all safety policies and requirements.

GableStage is seeking changeover crew for our upcoming season. Changeover crew work closely with our Technical Director and assist them with the fabrication, installation/strike, and maintenance/repair of scenery, props, and decorative materials. Candidates must be dependable, willing to work as a team, complete assignments in a timely manner, and follow strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements. Previously theater experience, basic knowledge of power tools, comfortable with heights, and ability to lift 40 lbs. required.

Theatre is built on community. Each season, we’re joined by a diverse group of volunteer ushers, ranging from seasoned theatre lovers to first-timers. Our volunteers are a cherished part of the GableStage family, and we’d love for you to join our team.

Performance Usher: Working alongside our House Manager, you’ll help us welcome our audiences and complete pre and post show duties. As a bonus, you will be able to watch the performance for free!
Production Support: We are always looking for help behind-the-scenes. This may include carpenters, electricians, sewists, and more. Let us know your special skills!
Administrative: Work with a Gablestage Team Member on an array of administrative projects. Monday – Friday, 11am – 5pm.
Marketing: Help us spread the word and play a role in promoting our productions by distributing flyers/posters to local businesses, community centers and other public spaces.
