Adult Classes

Now in its fourth season, Diary of a Production offers adult learners an immersive, behind-the-scenes experience that follows a GableStage production from first rehearsal to opening night.

Led by actor and teaching artist John Dalton, this 8-week course takes participants deep into the artistic process—from script analysis and casting to designing, directing, and staging the production. Each class includes guest sessions with professional artists from the production team, offering students unparalleled access to theatre-makers working at the highest level. Classes take place Monday nights on Zoom.

Participants also attend three exclusive in-person observation classes:

• Blocking rehearsal
• Technical rehearsal
