Dramatically Speaking 2

GableStage’s Outreach Programs are designed to build connections between our work on stage and the broader Miami community.

These programs bring theatre into civic spaces, foster dialogue across diverse audiences, and make professional performances accessible to those who have historically faced barriers to participation.

Dramatically Speaking at The Hub

Now entering its fifth season, Dramatically Speaking at The Hub is GableStage’s popular speaker series, presented in partnership with The Hub at Temple Beth Am—a cultural beacon in Miami that curates an inclusive season of comedy, music, and speaking events for audiences of all ages and interests.

Together, GableStage and The Hub have partnered for five years to present civic engagement programming. Produced in alignment with GableStage’s mainstage season, Dramatically Speaking features facilitated conversations and educational events that explore the ideas and themes behind select productions.

Nonprofit Night

Nonprofit Night is a unique cross-sector partnership and fundraising opportunity designed to connect GableStage productions with aligned nonprofit organizations in our community.

For each production, GableStage offers discounted tickets to the final dress rehearsal, with proceeds donated to a selected nonprofit partner whose mission connects to the themes or content of the show. GableStage engages five area nonprofit organizations annually through this program, providing both a platform for cross-promotion and a meaningful opportunity for community dialogue and connection.

To date, Nonprofit Night has contributed over $14,000 back to local nonprofits. Partner organizations are engaged and supported throughout the season.

Increased Access Initiative

The Increased Access Initiative eliminates barriers to theatre attendance for students, educators, and families across Miami-Dade County.Through this program, GableStage provides free tickets and transportation support to select partner schools and community-based organizations—many of whom serve students with disabilities, foster youth, and families facing economic hardship.

Partner organizations have included The SEED School of Miami, Miami-Dade County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association, Overtown Youth Center, and Florida Memorial University. The Increased Access Initiative is a key part of GableStage’s commitment to making the power of professional theatre available to all.
