Liberation

Andre Brilliant (BILL) is thrilled to be making his GableStage debut in Liberation. Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, he is an Actor and Writer based in South Florida. His recent stage credits include Sebastian in The Tempest (CHW Productions), Charles Guiteau in Assassins (Stanford Theater Department), and George Banks in Mary Poppins (Stanford Light Opera Company). Pam Hankerson (JOANNE) is a South Florida–based actor who has been performing in regional theatre throughout South Florida for many years. Recent credits include Bunnies Inside Her at the Coconut Grove Theatre Festival and This Way North at the Perlberg Festival of New Plays at Palm Beach Dramaworks. She is grateful to continue doing what she loves and is thrilled to share this production with you.

Anne (MARGIE) has appeared in many productions at Orlando Shakespeare Theater, including Cabaret, Noises Off, Henry V, The Three Musketeers, Richard II, The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Sense and Sensibility, Romeo and Juliet, Cymbeline, God of Carnage, The Glass Menagerie, Macbeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor, King Lear, and Into the Woods. Directing credits include Exit Laughing and The Roommate (Studio Theatre at Tierra Del Sol), Steel Magnolias (Flat Rock Playhouse), Every Brilliant Thing (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival), and Christmas at Pemberley, The Great Gatsby, and The Turn of the Screw (Orlando Shakespeare Theater). Irina Kaplan (SUSAN) is thrilled to return to GableStage with Bess Wohl’s Liberation. In 2026 Irina had the pleasure of playing Elodie in GableStage’s production of Prayer for the French Republic. Irina’s most recent short film, “Double Happiness”, won Best Short Film at Boca International Jewish Film Festival 2026 and was also screened at Lincoln Center as an official selection of the 2026 New York Jewish Film Festival. Other favorite NY and regional theater credits include Haarlem Berlin (Powerhouse Theater), Black Milk (Classic Stage Company), California Suite (Winnipesaukee Playhouse), and As You Like It (Scranton Shakespeare). Keep an eye peeled for the upcoming feature, Into The Sky, where Irina plays a sassy receptionist opposite Sam Richardson. Irina holds a BA from Vassar College, an MFA from The Actors Studio Drama School, and is a proud graduate of Beth Am Day School and Ransom Everglades. Lili Mueller (DORA) is extremely excited to make her GableStage debut in Liberation! This story means a lot to her and she’s so grateful to be a part of telling it. Favorite prior credits include: I Hate Hamlet (Deirdre), Winter Wonderettes (Betty Jean), and Oklahoma! (Ado Annie). She would like to thank Bari Newport for trusting her with the role, Bess Wohl for writing such an entertaining and compelling story, as well as the rest of the GableStage team for welcoming her aboard. Lili dedicates every moment of this performance to her mother and best friend Margot, who showed her exactly what a strong and empowered woman looks like. Sheena O. Murray (CELESTE), recently named Best Actor in a Female Role by Miami News Times, is what one would call a multi-hyphenate. She is a professional actress, vocalist, published author, and playwright. While wearing many hats in the creative world, she has found a home in theater. Seen recently as Chelle in AHCAC’s Detroit ‘67, Charlene in M Ensemble’s Searcing for Willie Lynch, Sheena O. Murray is a gifted storyteller. Elizabeth (LIZZIE) is an actor, director, writer, and producer based in South Florida. She has her MFA in Acting from Florida Atlantic University and has received Silver Palm Awards, a Big Easy Award, and Carbonell Award nominations for her acting and directing. Recent credits: Marcelle in Prayer for the French Republic (GableStage), Heidi Schreck in What the Constitution Means to Me (City Theatre), Harriet in POTUS (Zoetic), Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire (New City Players), Annie Wilkes in Misery (Empire Stage), Sophie in Step by Step (Actors’ Playhouse), Two in What’s Best for the Children (Theatre Lab). Elizabeth is soon to release a mini web series she wrote, produced, and starred in called Mackerel: The Midlife Alien.
